Drawing and Dancing On The Concrete!

The boys were being so cute yesterday. Govinda (Haridas) drew an elephant and wrote some sentences with the sidewalk chalk. Navin did a silly elephant dance for fun. We love you all! Thanks for checking in on us. Now that soccer season is over, I hope to be sharing more here.

Volcano Fun

We had fun while learning about the letter R and rocks for lesson 20 in My Father's World Kindergarten. Since most of the rocks around here are igneous (volcanic) rocks, and we live near an active volcano, Haridas is naturally fascinated with volcanoes. So, we made a model volcano out of clay, painted it, and made it erupt with baking soda and vinegar mixed with red paint. Haridas is with his good friend Karika watching it erupt.

Haridas Without Training Wheels!

Watch Haridas's first time riding a bike without training wheels. It's amazing how fast he just took off by himself.

Haridas Loves Reading!

Something recently shifted in Haridas and now he's really into reading and wants to learn more all the time! It's so exciting for all of us! Here's a video of him reading 15 words, many ending with ck, all by himself. We're on Lesson 17 with My Father's World From A to Z, and we have 90 days left!

New Drums!

Here's some pictures and a video of Haridas playing his new kid sized mridanga and bongo drums for the first time. Our home is even more musical now! We give thanks and praise for the blessings in our lives! :)

H is for Haridas and Horses

We've been studying the letter H and horses, and our 6th week on farm animals. Haridas got really good at drawing horses! We also made horses out of modeling beeswax. Here's a picture and video:

Navin Talking

Here's Navin telling us all the animal sounds he knows. He also knows a few other words that I forgot to add in the video: knee, toe, no, two, wee (fun), peace, dump, coco, owie, pig, go, moon, dat (that), and Hari (Hawi).

Haridas Is Reading!

Haridas is now reading 3 letter words! It's so exciting for us all.

70 Days Of School!

We're having so much fun everyday with pre-school. This week we are studying the letter T and turtles and perseverance and patience. Haridas painted this turtle made out of a paper plate. Thank you, Grammy Sharon and Grampy Dan for the paints and paper and plates.

We love you all and hope all is well. I've been so busy these days with raising these boys, it's hard to keep up with the blog. I will do my best as I know you all love to check on these little guys! Take care and God Bless!

Navin The Walker

Navin is officially walking now. He looks so cute. Now that he's getting better at it, he keeps his arms out for balance to catch himself if he falls, and he waves his hands and laughs while he walks! And now that he can walk, he has quickly moved onto CLIMBING! I was so surprised to watch him manage his way up onto the couch and Haridas's little chair.

We made several attempts to get the camera (on the computer screen) to capture Navin who would keep walking the other way! So, this was the last take, which is why Haridas keeps saying that he got the last one!

Gargling Trance

Navin often gets into these gargling trances. He will do this for quite some time, although the camera distracts him, so it is hard to catch! Here's a try to give an idea of what he does:

Navin Claps!

Yes, his brain waves are advancing, and he has mastered the art of clapping at the young age of 10 months old! Now he claps to tell us when he likes something. He has also started putting toys away into a box, which is quite wonderful after mastering the art of making big messes and scattering toys everywhere!

Nodding Yes

Here's the latest funny thing from the boys! Papa is playing the drum inside, although you can't hear it much, he is 'dancing'. :)

Kiddie Videos!

Give thanks for Google videos becoming much, much faster in the video uploading process, so I can share more cute moments with the kids.

Haridas and I have made so many birthday cards that when we sat down to draw, he insisted on making a birthday card for me!



Here's Navin singing his "Go-Gee-Go-Gee-Go" song and please know that the floor is clean and the apple doesn't make it into his mouth very much anyways.

The roller was parked on the empty lot across the street from us while it was being paved. So, here's a video of Haridas in it talking away. We did have permission to go in it.
