6 Weeks Gone By

I don't know how time can go by so fast and so slow at the same time, but here we are 6 weeks after the birth of Navin and all is well. He is getting bigger and bigger everyday and cuter, too! He can see more and laughs and smiles more, too. Here we are with the good old baby carrier that makes us all happy campers:

Haridas had a turn, too, after a long time of me not being able to carry him. He insisted on a front carry like a little baby, even though he's so big! It was his turn to be in Navin's shoes, or carrier I should say!

I took my two boys on a long walk today and we had so much fun! I'm so glad to be out and about again! This was the longest I've used to Freehand mei tai for, and it was incredibly comfortable the whole time. Navin slept the whole time, so I think he liked it, too! He would surely sleep all the time if I never took him out!

More pics!

I've been trying to add these pics for a while now...blogger was really slow but now it's good! Rainy days are here again. It's so nice to have a big porch to stay dry outside on. We're lovin our new home!

Cute kids!

Here's some great new pics of some cute kiddos!

There's Haley, too!

Look at those nice pants!

Out And About

We have done well going out 3 times now with Navin after a month a not leaving the house. He doesn't particularly like the carseat, but does seem to be quite entertained by this big world. I must admit that it's a lot easier just being at home!

One Month Old!

Navin is now one month old! It is Chinese custom to have a celebration at this time. So, we're going to go out tonight for the first time since he's been born! I'm so excited, I haven't left the house in so long it seems. I hope he does well in the car and in a new environment with people. :)

Baby Faces

Here's some close ups of baby Navin at 3 weeks old! Our camera cord is still missing in action, so all of our pictures are with the camera on the monitor. I think the computer screen was weird to him because he's making funny faces!

And another of me and my boys!

What A Difference Hair Makes

Who is this guy and how did his pictures get into our family blog? Anyways, here's a pictorial documentation of him getting rid of all of his hair, with some special effects, too.

Brothers

Here they are! Don't they look like little men!?

Little Feet

While Haridas was painting, I took the opportunity to stamp little Navin's footprints. He squirmed for one of them, but they're still so cute and little!

Sharing Mama's Lap

It's not easy being a big brother and learning to share Mama. We've been working on the transition, though, and Haridas is learning how to be a great big brother. He loves Navin almost a little too much...I have to stop him from constantly touching and kissing him! But during the first week, Haridas was so sad that he couldn't sit on my lap because I was nursing the newborn. Then when Navin was asleep, I held Haridas in my lap and we both cried together. I could feel everything he was going through and how much he missed my full attention. I just held him and reassured him that I love him so much. In time, he'll be so thankful to have a friend to play with all the time...it's just hard at first. It's all becoming normal now after 2 weeks, and I've showed Haridas how I can fit both of them in my lap together!

Grampa And Haridas

These two are peas in a pod. We are all blessed by Grampa Bill's presence. Here's some pictures of them having fun as usual!

And here's Grampa and Navin at 2 days old:

Daily Adventures To Our Tortoise Neighbors

The day before Navin was born, I went on a long walk and saw a house down our road that had a picture of a turtle out front. So, as Haridas and I get closer to look at the nice painting, we hear this breathing sound, look down and see a huge tortoise looking at us through the fence! We look at the big front yard of this house and see what looks like tortoise statues, until they start walking towards us! There are 4 big ones and 2 small ones. They love to eat hibiscus leaves and flowers and papayas, too. The owners and nice and have been kind to Grampa and Haridas as they go there for their daily adventure while I am on postpartum rest. Here's some great pics they took!
