Grampa Bill Is Here!

Grampa Bill arrived after more than 18 hours of travelling from Maine! Haridas remembered him and they hit it off so well right away! We went swimming in the ocean and saw 3 sea turtles beside us. Now, we normally see sea turtles all the time, but never 3 hanging out altogether in one spot! We had a great day and we are so thankful Grampa's presence!

I'd like to send some big hugs to the loved ones in Maine who miss him so, especially Lynda, Lisa, and Haley. I know he loves them so much.

This coming Friday and Saturday we will be moving to the new house. I am hoping the baby stays cozy in the womb at least long enough to get settled in and comfortably situated. I will update here as soon as I can.

I'm taking it really, really easy this last week, and it is a relief to have Grampa's help because just picking up Haridas is too heavy for me right now! Haridas is one happy camper with his new play friend! :)

Guru Purnima

The full moon on Sunday was a very special one...Guru Purnima, the day for honoring spiritual masters. It is also the 3 year anniversary that we received initiation and have been forever changed, born again. We celebrated with our wonderful group of devotee friends and everyone spoke kind words about their Guru and all spiritual teachers and incarnations of God.

I give infinate thanks and respectful obeisences to our Gurudeva, Srila Bhakti Bibuddha Bodhayan Maharaja, as well as all pure devotees of the Lord!

Belly Pics All Together

I put all of my belly pictures together in an album. It's fun to see how much a baby grows in a belly, and also how it looks when the baby lays in different ways. :)

A Beautiful Blessing Way!

I am so very thankful for how loved and cared for I am blessed to be! I am so fortunate to have so many wonderul people as family and friends!

On Saturday, we celebrated the blessing way (baby shower) for this baby. We had so much fun! There were 13 women, and 13 children, most between 3 months and 3 years old! We sang songs of guidance and protection, played games like guessing the gender, day, and time of birth, and decorated cards with encouraging words for reminders when in labor. I received many wonderful gifts like a nice robe, baby clothes and blankets, a neclace made with beads that everyone strung with a prayer, and a certificate for friends to help do laundry, play with Haridas, and make lunch! At the end, we decorated my belly with henna, a plant that stains the skin like a temporary tatoo that lasts a few weeks. The weather even blessed us with on and off showers to keep the house cool from the hot, hot sun. We all had a great time and I am feeling so very thankful and blessed!

Laupahoehoe Point

Here's some nice new pictures from Laupahoehoe Point! There was a nice view of Maui, it's the distant mountains across the ocean in the first picture. We had a great time together at this beautiful place!

Moving News

We can officially move into our new home August 3. As long as I'm not going into labor, we will move there and the baby will hopefully be born afterwards. I prefer the new place for the birth if it's in the flow of things. It's a little close with the due date being August 7, but I'm feeling like all will go fine. This pregnancy is so full of suprises.....is it a boy or a girl, when will it be born, and now, where will it be born???!!!

Good News!

I'm so thankful and happy to say that the baby is officially in a head-down position! Susan, the midwife came over today, and will be visiting every week until the birth, and got to meet my boys. We listened to the heartbeat and checked the position, and all is looking good and complication-free! I'm so thankful!

Fire On The Mountain!

We saw this fast-moving wild fire on the way home from visiting friends in Kona. Thankfully it was not near any houses, just in a huge field of lava rock and dry, dessert grass. The wind was so strong, and within 5 minutes of watching the fire, it almost tripled in size. Don't worry about us, though. It rains way too much on our side of the island for there to ever be a wild fire.

Juggling Shapes!

With all the crocheting I've been doing for the coming baby, I felt the need to make something for Haridas. He doesn't need diaper covers since he's potty trained now, so I thought of how he loves watching people juggle. So, I made him some juggling bean bags made into different shapes in primary colors. He loves them! Here they are:
